Ladies Wednesday Golf February 8 2023

A good field enjoyed a Stableford round. Winner of the day was Chrissy Downs with 39 points. Meryl Cameron (38 points) and Deanne Free (36 points) were in the ball pool. Deanne had nearest the pin on the 9th and scored a birdie.

Next week assembly at 9am for 9:30 am hit off.

Thursday R & R Stableford February 9, 2023

Thursday Golf and Captain Jack (11) fine-tuned up nicely for the golf trip by winning with 43 points. Jack shot 3 birdies and 7 bogies for his fine round of golf. Ball pool was Tony Hall (19) 39, Blake Shay (10) and Luke Hadfield (10) both on 37, Gav Teasdale (11) 37. 

Last Saturday at golf only 28 golfers played due to the golf trip to Barooga and the gale force winds we all had to contend with. Rob Fabry (20) handled the conditions with aplomb to win the Greenwood Mug with 37 pts consisting of 13 around the front 9 and 24 around the back, well done Tops. Ladies’ winner of the Goblet on Saturday was Deaniee Henderson (19) on 35 pts and R/up was Jan Harry (11) 31. Ball pool was James Meehan jnr (6) 36, Frank Cianci (25) 35, Col Wilkie (8) 34, Scott Harry (11), James Meehan snr (11) and Gary Hayes (15) all on 33 and Kevin Sambrooks (14) missed out on c/b. nearest the pins were Kevin Lane 3rd, Scott Harry 16th and Col Wilkie 9th & 13th and nobody landed on the 5th.

We have the Water Pool 4B next Saturday so get your names in for that, the IGA 4P Ambrose is coming up soon and the Par 3 day in March so put these days in your calendar. We played pennant at Cohuna last Sunday on their great course against Pyramid Hill and we walked away with a draw. Chris Waterson/Kevin Lane squared their match, Brendan Shields/Ross Nesbit won 5/4 and Scott Harry/Deaniee Henderson lost 3/2 so because of results we won the day by 0.2 of a point so we are in the four and this week we go to Balranald, Kerang A team play Cohuna 1 and Kerang B team play Cohuna 2.
