14th March results

Ladies Golf 2/3/2022

Stroke and monthly medal were played in cooler conditions with the course fresh from the rain. However, good scores were hard to find. Angela Morton won the day with 76 net and was also nearest the pin on the 9th.She also had the least number of putts (28) Angela will enjoy wearing her new shirt.

Shirley and Rhonda were in the ball pool, with 79 and 80 nett.

There were a few distractions along the way as a buggy had some running repairs and a few administrative matters were seen to. The result was that the girls were well on their way up the fairway before Michelle realised that she hadn’t teed off!

Next week we welcome the Lake Boga girls. 9 for 9:30 hit off.

Thursday R & R Stableford

The event was Stableford and 25 contenders took to some wet fairways, to see who would win the day, It was Doug Meehan who was the best on the day with 39 points. Well ahead of runner-up Chris Waterson (on a c/b) from Alan Free, Doug Ellwood, Tony Laughlin and our Captain Jack all on 34 points.

NTP’s went to Wayne O’Neill on the 3rd, Chris Waterson on the 9th, Spud McKerrow on the 13th. Not one golfer was good enough to get the 5th or the 16th.

Our visitor from Wagga Golf Club Garry Forde, was awarded the pen so he could send us a post card. Doug Meehan had the best stroke score of 73.

Saturday Stroke Monthly Medal

A windy day Saturday made scoring difficult for all golfers and the only one to play to their handicap was Roger Pay (16) who won the Monthly Medal with a nett 71. Ladies’ winner and coming back into some form was Jan Harry (13) on nett 72 just beating Michelle Dillon (9) nett 73.

In the ball pool was Logan Keighran (5), Lindsay Hogg (21), Michelle Dillon and David Wood (11) all nett 73, Gavin Teasdale (12), Peter Hall (13) and Terry Turvey (15) each 74 nett.

Nearest the pins went to David Knight 3rd, Chris Waterson 5th, Roger Pay 9th, Brian Gibson collected the spoils on the 13th and no one managed to land on the 16th. Peter Jones gladly accepted another pen for he’s efforts and Logan Keighran had the best stroke score of 78 for the day. Good to see our President back playing again so I’m sure he’ll be back in A Grade again before our club Champs start.
