30th January Results
/Wednesday Ladies Stableford
13 ladies played in lovely conditions. Michelle Dilllon (9) 35 pts won the day from Marg Learmonth (20) 34 pts. Nola Robinson (26) 33 pts, Chrissy Downs (29) 30 pts, were in the Ball pool. Nola had the shot of the day on Chino’s 9th.
This week is monthly Medal, hit off is at 9.30am.
The course is in great condition, well done to all the volunteers putting a lot of time in to keep it up to scratch.

Australia Day Autopro 4 Person Ambrose
A huge field of over a hundred golfers turned out for the 4P Ambrose on Australia Day. We had visitors from Lalbert, Wycheproof, Neanger Park, Lakeside, Donald, Bendigo, Charlton and even two from England. The team from Bendigo of Laine Harry, Marty Kelly, Cody Tuohey and Brendan James won the day with a great score of 62 – 8.2 = 53.8. R/up the Worner family of Chris, Scott, Jess and Chayse 66 – 9.9 = 56.1. Consolation prizes went to the groups of Dave Conlan, Gary Hayes, Anthony Robertson and Jim Clark with 66 – 9.4 = 56.6 and the Spitty family Andrew, Kate, Olive and Mabel 63 – 6.2 = 56.8.
In the novelty section the longest drive for the men went to Chris Worner and the Ladies to Olive Spitty, nearest the line men was Cody Tuohey and the Ladies Bronwyn Good. The nearest the pins went to Gary Hayes 3rd, 5th Luke Hadfield, 9th Paul Jackson, 13th Chris Waterson and 16th to Barry Gladman. The hot predicted weather kept a few golfers away and thankfully it never got that hot, but we still had over 30 players for the day. Col Wilkie (8) continued his good form to win with 38 pts from Mark Henderson (25) another golfer on the improve, with 36. Ladies’ winner was again Jenny Waterson (16) on 35 pts from Donna Grant (23) 34. In the Ball Pool was Mark Henderson, Brian Gibson (13) and Doug Meehan (8) both on 35, Doug Ellwood (21), Ross Nesbit (11), Donna Grant and Casey Gillen (19) all on 34. Nearest the pins were Jenny Waterson 3rd, James Meehan Jnr, 9th Rob Fabry, 13th Wayne O’Neill and the 16th Brian Gibson.
Pennant starts next weekend so let Captain Jack Hewitt know that you are available and there are more tournament’s coming up so look on the board for the dates and get your teams organised also twilight golf is on Fridays, so please, support this and remember everyone is welcome including non-golfers.
