Wishart’s Gold Watch 27th May

Wishart’s Jeweller’s, have been our sponsors for the Gold Watch 4 Ball event for 41 years. That is a

remarkable connection to the Kerang Golf Club, and we thank you.

19 pairs took part in this event, after having to cancel for the last 2 years, due to Covid-19! Deaniee

Henderson and Jean Youl with 42 points should always be on time from now on, winning the

coveted watches from Mandy Ackland and Deanne Free, on 41 points.

The Ball Pool consisted of the 3 pairs, Lisa Hyne/Jeanette Weaver, Anne Laughlin/Janet Hicks and

Rhonda Willoughby/ Marg Learmonth, all on 40 points.

NTP’s 3 rd Jennie Goulding, 5 th Carol dear, 9 th Deanne Free, 13 th Tricia Whitney and 16 th Michelle Dillon.

Our top 2 golfers from Wednesday, Joyce Boyd and Ange Giouzellis, paired up to take home a new

pen.

Saturday 28 th May 2022

A bigger field than usual on Saturday even though the cold weather is starting to come. A lot of

jackets, coats and beanies now been seen on the course, so we know winter is upon us. David Wood

(10) won the day on c/b from Blake Shay (9) both on 37 points. In the ball pool was Joe Tartaglia

(14), Phil Lloyd (11) both on 36, Deaniee Henderson (20) and Shirley Jenner (22) on 35 got the last

two balls. Nearest the pins were Tony Laughlin 3 rd , Jenny Waterson 9 th , Joe Tartaglia got the money

on 13, David Wood on the 16 th and no one could find the 5th. We welcomed a visitor Graeme Brierly

from Tocumwal, and he duly won the pen award.

Wednesday 1 June 2022

In freezing conditions 10 ladies played for the Monthly Shirt. Carol Dear 100-24=76 was the best for

the day to win herself a new shirt. Ange Morton 97-18=79 & Michelle Dillon 87-8=79 were in the Ball

Pool. Ange was also the Queen of the greens with 26 putts! A Countback was required for the Pen

Award, with Chrissy Downs taking it home.

Rosie Laughlin had the shot of the day on Chino’s 9 th Hole.

Thursday 2 June

On a cold but not windy afternoon 19 well rugged up golfers contested the R & R Stableford event,

with Terry Turvey coming home with a great score of 39 points, to win the day’s event. Ball Pool was

Tony Laughlin 36, Brendan Shields 35 and Phil Lloyd on 34 from 3 others on a count back.

NTP’s 3 rd T Turvey, 5 th went begging again, 9 th P Lloyd, 13 th C Wilkie 16 th G Brierley.

Saturday 4 June 2022

Quite a large field for this time of the year and Ross Nesbit (11) has won this months Medal with a

score of 71 net. Ladies winner was Jill Marshall (34) 71 from Deaniee Henderson (19) 74. In the ball

pool was Neil Carmichael (40) and David Wood (9) both on 73, Tony Laughlin (9), Graham Wyte (12),

Andrew Spitty (+3) and Deaniee Henderson all on 74 net and Joe Tartaglia missed out on c/b. nearest

the pins were Ross Nesbit 3 rd , Graham Wyte 5 th , David Wood 9 th , Tony Laughlin 13 th and Andrew

Spitty on the 16 th .
