11th April results

A perfect day for golf with no weather-related excuses for poor play. There was much excitement for the winner of the monthly medal stroke day. Well done Geraldine on winning the shirt with net 71. Rhonda and Joyce in the same group also played well to be in the ball pool.

Shirley had only 27 putts to win the putting but unfortunately, she also won the pen. Joyce was the most accurate on the 9th to win the nearest the pin. Carol Dear had a few excellent putts and also managed a chip in and birdie on the 13th.

Next week we assemble at 9:30 for a 10 am hit off.

Thursday Golf

A good crew of golfers turned out for a damp day of golf but it didn’t deter our visitor from Boort Ray Taylor (27) with 37 points. R/up was a player we don’t see enough of in David Knight (15) 36 on c/b from Kevin Sambrooks (16) and Ross Nesbit (12). Others in the ball pool were Peter Jones (14) and Joe Tartaglia (14) got the last 2 balls on c/b from Doug Meehan (5) and Ron Schultze (25) all those players on 35 pts. NTP’s were Peter Jones on the 5th and 9th, David Knight 13th and no one managed to land on the 3rd and 16th.

Greenwood Mugge

Ron Schultze (25) continued his fine form of late and is this month’s Greenwood Mugge winner with 38 pts and that includes 23 around the back and would have been more except he went OOB’s on 18. Winner of the Ladies was again young Mabel Spitty (26) with 37 points to win by one from her sister Olive (1) on 36. The ball pool was Ross Nesbit (12) 37, Brad Gin (10) 35, Phil Lloyd (11) and Neil Carmichael (40) got the last 2 balls on c/b from David Wood (10), Greg Gin (16) and Jill Marshall (32) all on 34 pts. nearest the pins were Mabel Spitty 3rd, Ross Nesbit 5th, Deaniee Henderson 9th, Brad Gin 13th and Michelle Dillon on the 16th. We welcomed a visitor from Melbourne in Brad Gin and Donna Grant has re-joined the club after a long lay off and duly won the pen on her first outing back.
