11th July Results

Ladies Golf 6/7/2022

After a freezing start 15 ladies enjoyed the sunshine and the golf. It was monthly medal and stroke. Rhonda Willougby had the best score of 70 net (95-25=70) She also won the putting competition so well-done Rhonda.

In the ball pool were Rosie with net 73, Marg with net 73 and Angela M, net 73.

Jan Harry had a great shot on the 9th to win nearest the pin.

There were some wildlife encounters. A group had to wait for Brer fox to make his way off the fairway on the 7th. Someone hit a galah, but Marg kindly gave it a nice resting place.

Chrissie and Jenny managed birdies. Lorraine had a day to forget but took it with very good humour.

Thanks to Lorraine and Meryl there was a lovely hot lunch waiting for us after the game.

Thursday R & R Stableford

No early morning rain so Brendan Shields had no chance of winning today and it showed, with him finishing well down the field. Ken Williams (20) had a day out to win by 3 points with a score of 38. In the ball pool was Terry Turvey (12) 35, Chris Waterson (5), Joe Tartaglia (15) and Jack Hewitt (13) all on 34 pts. nearest the pins went to Terry Turvey on the 3rd and 5th, Allan Free 13th, Joe Tartaglia 16th and no one managed to land on the 9th. Kevin Sambrooks won the pen award on c/b from Chris Gray and Max Wilson.

Saturday Greenwood Mugge

Another fine day for golf although the wind had a bit of chill in it and Col Wilkie (15) found some form to win the Mugge with 40 pts. Ladies winner for their Goblet was Jill Marshall (33) with 37 pts from Michelle Dillon (10) 34. The ball pool consisted of Kevin Lane (16) 39, Allan Free (20) and Joe Tartaglia (15) both 37, Terry Turvey (12) and Roger Pay (16) 35pts each and Michelle Dillon (10) 34 got the last ball on c/b from Shirley Jenner (22). Nearest the pins were Shirley Jenner 3rd, Col Wilkie 5th, Blake Shay 9th and Michelle Dillon got both the 16th and the money on the 13th. Tony Hall made a rare appearance and won the pen award. Captain Jack has got a 9-hole comp running at the moment and last weeks winner for the front nine was Jan Harry for the Ladies and Kevin Lane for the men on the front nine this week. It’s on the back nine this week and for the next 2 weeks it will be a mixture of both, don’t forget its $5 to enter and you can put in as many cards as you like.
