In the ball pool were Shirley, Marg and Jill. Meryl had a lovely birdie on the 1 st  hole

and Jenny had one on the 13 th .

It was good to welcome new player – Renee Wilkinson. Megan Taylor received a

welcome back pink pen for her day’s efforts.

Thursday R & R Stableford 14 July 2022

On a very cold Thursday Kevin Sambrooks (18) worked his magic that only he can

produce, to win the day with 38 points. No doubt about it, it was all above board, but

you never know with Sambo, anyway, well done Kevin. In the ball pool we had, the

still in form Col Wilkie (14) 37, Gavin Teasdale (12), Wayne O’Neill (23) and Jack

Hewitt (13) all on 36 and Casey Gillen (20) 35pts got the last ball on c/b from Peter

Jones (14). On the par 3’s was Don Ross 3 rd , Graham Wyte 5 th , Tony Laughlin 9 th ,

Col Wilkie 13 th and the 16 th must have been into a head wind because no one landed

on that one. Terry Turvey won the pen on a c/b from Chris Gray and Lindsay Hogg

well done to the Prez.

Saturday Golf

The Captain decided to put on a 2P Ambrose, and the winners were Roger Pay &

Max Wilson who played very good golf to win with a score of 70 – 6.5 = 63.5 which

included 4 birdies, well done to those 2. Ladies’ winners were Shirley Jenner &

Michelle Dillon 74 – 7.7 = 66.3, which included a killer birdie for Dilly but of the

feathered kind. Not the golf kind (poor Pigeon, a collection plate will be passed

around for the bird’s family). Nearest the pins were Max Wilson 5 th , Allan Free 9 th , Col

Wilkie 13 th and the wind played havoc for all of us on the 3 rd and 16 th . The pen

recipients were the team of Joyce Boyd & Geraldine Kennedy. Don’t forget the Nine-

hole Comp Jack has running at the moment $5 to enter and put in as many cards as

you like, and it is being run in conjunction will Golf Australia.
