11th June results

There was no Ladies Golf on Wednesday due to the rain.

Thursday R & R Stableford 8th June 2023

The course was inspected on Thursday morning and was approved for play, after 67 mm of rain, overnight. 12 hardy (did I hear fool hardy, in the background?) P Lloyd came up trumps on a c/b with 33 points from A Free and T Turvey on 31 points. NTP’s 3rd W O’Neill, 5th N/A, 9th K Lane, 13th P Lloyd and 16th N/A. It was a very welcome rain.

Saturday 10th June 2023

It was the Greenwood Mugge Day and while the course was drying out some, it still was a challenge, but with any challenge some rise to the occasion, and it proved so today with the men’s Greenwood Mugge winner being Chris Waterson (4) scoring 36 points. In the ladies event once again Mabel Spitty (17) came to the fore also with 36 points. Ball pool saw J Waterson 35, Darryl Kelly (visitor) 34, D Wood 33, R Schultze, T Turvey and G Teasdale all on 32 points. NTP’s went to C Waterson 5th, L Hadfield 9th, O Spitty 13th and R Nesbitt 16th.
