12th December Results

Ladies Golf 8/12/2021

Only 7 ladies played the stableford round on Wednesday. The wind caused some problems both for hitting and walking the course.

The winner with 33 points was Jill Marshall and Michelle Dillon was runner up with 32 points, followed by Meryl Cameron with 29 points.

Michelle’s drive on the 17th landed in a bad spot against a tree. There was a long deliberation as to whether to take a drop or give it a go! The fine jar did well with several players owning up to 3 putting.

Nearest the pin on the 9th was won by Jenny Waterson with a very accurate drive.

Next week 9am for 9:30 am. 

Thursday Golf

On a day when not even sailors would launch their boats onto the water Kevin Sambrooks (18) belied all the odds to win with a great score of 39 points. In the ball pool was Kevin Chase (28) on 37. Casey Gillen (21), Ken Williams (19) and Poddy Free (17) all on 35 points each. Nearest the pins went to Graham Wyte on the 3rd, Poddy Free on the 5th, Ken Williams 9th, Mark Grant 13th and no one landed on the 16th green. We also welcomed visitors from Murray Downs, Boort and Berri Willock.

Saturday Golf

This day was the best day for golf that we have had for a while and Max Wilson certainly made the most of it by winning by 5 points from Gary Hayes (18) with a score of 43 points and no doubt the handicappers will crucify him next week. Winning the Ladies was Carol Dear (24) on 33points from Jill Marshall (31) on 31. Max started off par Birdie par and apart from bogies on 6 and 8 played well and if had not had a double on 10 would have had a lot better score. Ball pool winners were Gary Hayes and Gavin Teasdale (13) and Joe Tartaglia (15) all on 38, David Wood (11) and Poddy Free (17) on 37 each and Chris Gray (13) got the last ball on a count back from Phil Lloyd (11) who were both on 36. David Conlan won the pen in the absence of Paul Saunders and the NTP winners were Ron Schultze 3rd, John Murphy 5th, Chris Gray 9th, Lindsay Hogg won the money on the 13th and Max Wilson topped a fine day off by winning the 16th. The Max & Gav day is on the 27th December and is always a big day so book early for this one and I’ll see you there.
