12th September results

The conditions were good for golf as we played our monthly medal round. The winner for the day was

Joyce Boyd with 71 net. Despite losing two balls to the water Joyce managed to win the day, the

nearest the pin on Chino’s 9 th  hole and the putting competition. She also had two birdies on the 9 th  and

15 th . Well played Joyce! Runner up was Nola Robinson with 72 net and also in the ball pool were

Michelle Dillon and Chrissy Downs. The pen award was graciously accepted by Jenny Waterson.

A hot lunch was enjoyed by all. We look forward to the return of more players next week.

Saturday Golf

After Thursdays wash out numbers for Saturday were a little better for the Greenwood Mugge and

the winner for the third time in 4 months was Chris Waterson (5) with 35 pts. Ladies winner was

young Sadie Spitty (44) on 39 pts beating her older sister Olive (2) 31. In the ball pool was Brendan

Shields ((13) 34, Andrew Spitty (+2) 33, David Wood (9) and Doug Ellwood (22) both on 32 and Olive

Spitty. Nearest the pins were John Murphy 3 rd , no one managed to land on the 5 th , Andrew Spitty 9 th ,

Ron Shultze made a welcome return from Queensland to win the money on the 13 th and David Wood

16 th . Andrew Spitty had the best stroke score of 72 and Frank Cianci got to take home a new pen.
