14th February Results

Ladies Report Wednesday 9 February

Jenny Waterson (15) had another nice round on Wednesday with 35 points. On a count back. Jenny has been playing very consistent golf over the last few months and improving her handicap, down now to 15. Michelle Dillon (9) was Runner-up also with 35 points. Nola Robinson (28) was in the Ball Pool with Jean Youl (21) on 32 points, just collecting the last ball on a count back from Meryl Cameron (13) also 32 points. Angela Morton had the Shot Of The Day on Chino’s 9th hole, winning a nice coffee.

Deanee Henderson has been working hard on her golf game and travelling to different coursesand last weekend it was Tocumal, picking up a prize in the 2 person Ambrose with Lisa Hyme (Barham), Runners Up in the Nett Score Comp. The course is looking amazing after the welcome rain and well done to the amazing band of volunteers to clean up after the storm. Your captain M

Tuesday’s Twilight Golf 8 February

Numbers are slowly building for twilight golf which is good and one of our regulars Brad Short had probably his best golf yet in winning with a score of 35 – 6.5 = 28.5 to win from his playing partner Jordan Simpson 39 – 10 = 29 and third place went to Scott Harry 38 – 6 = 32.

Thursday Golf 10 February

The Rich and Retired golfers had a good day of golf and the winner was Col Wilkie (13) who has played himself into some fine form lately to win with 38 points. Second place went to our most experienced golfer in Tony Laughlin (9) not far behind on 36. In the ball pool was Doug Ellwood (23)35, Greg McNeil (20) 34 and Joe Tartaglia (15) got the last ball with 33pts. nearest the pins were Andrew Spitty on the 3rd and the 9th, no one on the 5th, Doug Meehan 13th and Don Ross was best on the 16th.

Saturday Golf 12 february

A big field of over 50 golfers braved the windy conditions to play for the Greenwood Mugge and the winner was Roger Pay (16) with a fine score of 40 points. In the Ladies section with a few more than usual Jenny Waterson (15) won with 33 points on c/b from Michelle Dillon (9). Ball pool was Jim Apostolelis (18) 39, John Murphy (21) and Col Wilkie (12) both 36, Casey Gillen (19), David Wood (11), James Meehan (9), Logan Keighran (5) and Ross Nesbit (11) all on 35 points got a ball each. Nearest the pins were Don Ross on the 3rd, Casey Gillen 5th, Blake Shay 9th, Gary Pay got the dough on the 13th and James Meehan was closest on the 16th. The captain also ran a 2 person multiplier and the winner of this was Logan Keighran and Jim Apostolelis with 75 points. Andrew Spitty had the best stroke score of 72 and David Stubbs won himself another pen for he’s fine game.

Pennant golf started on Sunday and we played Cohuna on our home turf but unfortunately we went down 2/1 this Sunday we go to Balranald to take on Lalbert so hoping for a better result there.
