Ladies Golf Wednesday 9th November

It’s been so long since we have been able to play Wednesday golf, we weren’t sure if we would remember how to do it!  Of course, our consistently competent captain, Michelle Dillon has not forgotten. She played a fabulous stroke round of 81 (10) 71 to claim the Monthly Medal for November. Michelle also celebrated her victory with a coffee from Chino’s for Nearest the Pin on the 9th.

Ball pool winners were Carol Dear 100 (26) 74 and Shirley Jenner 97 (23) 74.

Rosie Laughlin took home the pen this week but deserves credit for some spectacular creativity around the golf course.

It was great to be back on the course and it is in amazing condition. Thanks so much to our volunteers who have been working so hard to get us out there again.

See you all next week!

Saturday Golf

The Greenwood Mugge was played on Saturday and the winner and the man to steer clear of for

the next month is Brendan Shields (13) who won with 39 points on c/b from Neil Carmichael (39).

The Ladies winner of their Goblet was Shirley Jenner (23) on 39 pts to win by 4 from Sadie Spitty (40)

35. The ball pool was Neil Carmichael, Blake Shay (10), Luke Hadfield (13), Scott Harry (12) all those

on 38, Doug Ellwood (21), David Knight (16) each 37 pts, Dave Conlan (23), Ron Schultze (26) and

Roger Pay (14) got the last of the golf balls with 36 points and unlucky to miss out was John Murphy

(23) and Chris Gray (16) on 36 also. Nearest the pins went to Kevin Lane on the 3 rd, Andrew Spitty 5 th,

Roger Pay 9th and Chris Waterson on the 13th and 16th. Best stroke score went to Andrew Spitty with 72 and Gary Hayes got the prestigious pen award with his round of golf.

We welcomed two visitors from Mitiamo GC in Adam Gould and Matthew Miles and hope they enjoyed their round. Twilight golf started last week and is now held on Fridays. Tee off is anywhere between 4pm and 6pm and after your game join in the club house for news, Jonesy’s jokes, raffles and of course Joker Poker. I don’t have details of last week’s event but I do know that Brad Short won the night with 33.5 net.

Club championships and other events that we have had to put off recently will be decided upon soon

and the Captain will get the new dates out as soon as he can.
