It was a very pleasing day for members at kerrang Golf course with 36 players attempting to (1) get back into the swing of the game after a month of no play and (2) attacking the hordes of mosquito’s that were very savage. No body needed to have a blood transfusion to my knowledge!
The event was Monthly Medal Stroke and looking at the scores it was a tough day out for all. The eventual winner was Doug Ellwood scoring 92-20=70. The lady’s winner was Michelle Dillon scoring 84-10=74. The best stroke score went to Chris Waterson with 77.
Others in the Ballpool were J Murphy 71,K Lane 72, G Wyte, D Meehan, B Shay, G Teasdale all on 73.
NTP’s went to K Lane 3rd, B Shay 5th, P jones 9th, R Pay Superpin and D Ellwood 16th.
The few wet area’s will dry out if no further rain falls on the course and then the mowers can get into it.
