Ladies Golf – Wednesday November 10th

There was a busy program in place at Ladies Golf this week, with monthly medal, medallist of the year and the first week of our Club Championships all being contested. We had 19 ladies up for the challenge of the course and the weather!

The November monthly medal went to 8yo Mabel Spitty who had a super round with 99 (31) 68 net. What a fabulous effort! Runner up for the day was Joyce Boyd who started with an average back nine but brought it home with 42 on the front nine to finish with 94 (25) 69. Joyce also won the Chino’s coffee voucher for Nearest the Pin on the 9th.

Our clever captain, Michelle Dillon, had a solid day out with 79 (8) 71 to snag the Medallist of the Year for 2021. This superb score also sees her leading the A Grade Club Championship from Olive Spitty 80 (5) 75. Olive also won the putting competition with a handy 26.

In B grade Joyce Boyd and Ange Morton are leading the way with 94, closely followed by Jean Youl on 95 and Deaniee Henderson on 96. Mabel Spitty has put some pressure on the C graders with her awesome 99 showing her more mature mates how to do it!

See you next Wednesday for the second round of the Champs at  9.30 for 10
