/Thursday Golf
Whoohoo we are finally back to playing golf I hope nobody pulled all the hair out while they were in
lock down. The Ladies kicked off the new season yesterday and it was the blokes turn today.
Obviously one person has been practicing while not being able to play and that was Greg McNeil (21)
who won the day with 39 pts. The break wasn’t all bad as between the 18 players there was 10
birdies so well down fellas. In the ball pool we had Bruce Wright (17) 37 pts, Col Wilkie (14) 36 and
Tony Laughlin (8) 35. Wayne Cook (19) won the all important pen, well down Cooky.
Saturday Golf
On a magnificent day for golf our first Saturday round back and we had over 50 golfers play which is
a wonderful effort if we can keep up those numbers we make up for the lost revenue of the last
seven weeks. Winner in the Ladies section was Michelle Dillon (8) 37 from young Joyce Boyd (22) on
32. For the Mens Blake Shay (13) won with 38 pts from Don Ross (7) on 37. In the Ball Pool was Rob
Fabry (20) 36, Geoff Williams (17) 35, Greg Gin (15) 34, Shane Dibsdale (8), Jim Clark (16), Graham
Wyte (11) Scott Harry (12) and Gary Pay (15) all on 33 and Peter Hall (12) on 32. The nearest the pins
went to on the 3 rd Lorraine Bray, 5 th Gav Teasdale, 9 th Gary Pay with none of the worst shots I have
ever seen, superpin winner on the 13 th was Gary Thorne and on the 16 th was Gav Teasdale. The best
stroke score for the round was Andrew Spitty with a 73 off the stick which would have been better
had he not hit the wrong ball and the pen went to Shirley Jenner.
Sunday golf
A decision has been made to play some Sunday golf while golf is still the only sport we can play at
the moment so on Sunday we a stableford round. The Captain Scott (12) had a round that included
everything which was 4 birdies, 2 pars, 8 bogies, 3 doubles and 1 triple bogie to win with 35 pts.
