25th April results — Kerang Golf and Bowls

Ladies Wednesday 20 April 2022

We welcomed the lovely rain, on the course, but it was very heavy underfoot for the Ladies. Michelle Dillon (8) had 31 points and was the only player to make it over 30 points! Runner-up was Deaniee Henderson (19) on 28 points. Rhonda Willoughby (24) took home the Ball from the Ball Pool.

Meryl Cameron won the Chino’s NTP on the 9th. Many thanks Chino’s for your ongoing support. Chrissy Downs collected the Pen Award, going back-to-back! Next week might play Par. Good hitting your Captain.

Thursday R & R Stableford 21 April 2022

31 members and guests tried to conquer the course, which was in great condition after the heavenly rain. A big field with visitors from Lakeside, Berriwillock and Snake Valley golf clubs joining in. Our President Terry Turvey (15) finally found some form and won the day with 38pts. in the ball pool was Allan Free (19) 36, Wayne O’Neill (26), Col Wilkie (12) both on 35 and Ross Nesbit (11) 32. Welcome back to Col Wilkie after his back operation and into form straight away. Nearest the pins were Phil Lloyd 3rd, Ron Thouliss 5th, Doug Meehan 9th, Graham Wyte 13th and Jack Hewitt on the 16th.

Well, you could tell that footy has started as numbers are down a little but that didn’t worry Phil “Emu” Lloyd (11) who came into form to win with 38 pts and possibly should have been more if he could putt. Winner for the Ladies was Michelle Dillon (8) 35 pts. ball pool was Graham Wyte (11) 36, Luke Hadfield (12) 35, Tony Laughlin (8), Chris Waterson (5) and Shirley Jenner (22) picked up the last balls all with 34pts. Nearest the pins went to Terry Turvey 3rd, Graham Wyte 5th, Bruce Robertson from Hill Top GC 9th, Shirley Jenner got the reward on the 13th, and no one managed to land on the 16th.
