27th June Results

Ladies Wednesday 22 June 2022

Eleven ladies stepped out in the drizzle to contest a stableford round this week. Fortunately,

the weather improved as the day progressed which is more than can be said for some of the

golf on display! Geraldine Kennedy made the course look simple with a solid 34 points. Ange

Morton continued her consistent form with 33, followed by Chrissy Downs on 30 and a

disgruntled captain Michelle with 28. Chrissy played a fabulous shot on the 9th to collect the

Chino's coffee voucher. Carol Dear found the course a little challenging today, but she did

collect a shiny new pen.

Thursday R & R Stableford 23June 2022

A wet start greeted golfers on Thursday and Brendan Shields (13) made the most of it by

winning with 38 points from Doug Ellwood (23) on 35. In the ball pool was Doug, Ray

Gannon (30) continuing his good form and Phil Lloyd (10) both on 34. On the par 3’s the best

shots went to Joe Tartaglia 3 rd , Luke Hadfield 9 th , Doug Ellwood 13 th and no one landed on

the 5 th and 16 th .

Saturday Stableford 25 June 2022

Another great day for golf and Doug Meehan (5) had his best day for a while and won with

38 points. Jenny Waterson (15) won for the Ladies with 31 pts. in the ball pool was Peter

Jones (15) 37, Gavin Teasdale (12) 35, Brendan Shields (13), David Wood (9) and John

Murphy (23) all on 34 points. Nearest the pins went to John Murphy on the 3 rd , Joe Tartaglia

5 th , Kevin Lane 9 th and 16 th and Graham Wyte got the money on the 13 th . We had a visitor

from Forest Hills GC in Robert Giles who also won the pen. Next week is Monthly Medal and

Captain Jack is going to start a 9-hole comp and there will be notices on the board at the

club to explain how this will work.
