28th December results
/Ladies Golf – Wednesday December 23rd
A very small (but quality!) group of ladies battled for the ‘Almost Christmas Day’ golf competition this week. Our lady captain Michelle Dillon took the honours with 34 points. Olive Spitty played some lovely golf to be runner up with 33. She also gets to head to Chino’s after winning their voucher with the Nearest the pin on the 9th.
There will be ladies golf next Wednesday at 9 for 9.30. See you there!
Twilight Golf – Tuesday December 22nd
Another blustery night greeted the brave contingent of Twilight golfers this week. The course was in magic condition and Chris Gray channelled his inner Santa to win the night with 41 – 6.5 – 34.5. Keeping it in the family… Toby Gray was runner up with net 35. Mark Henderson who has been showing great form lately was in the ball pool with 36, along with a beaming Poddy Free who shot 37. Michelle Dillon was Nearest the pin on the 13th.
Twilight Golf is on next Tuesday – grab some mates and head out for a game!
Saturday Golf
A small field managed to shake off the post Christmas bloat to play a stableford round on Boxing Day. Scott Worner continued his Christmas celebrations with a win, racking up 33 points. Runner up was Deaniee Henderson who also shot 33. Chrissy Downs and Michelle Dillon rounded off the ball pool with a respectable 32 points each.
The nearest the pins were shared around with Geoff Williams, Deaniee Henderson, Poddy Free and Graham Wyte all landing on a green.
Max and Gav Golf Day
Conditions were wild, windy and hot for competitors in our Max and Gav day this year. Fifty-one dedicated golfers vied for the fabulous prizes on offer from our generous sponsors.
The in-form Mark Henderson was victorious on the day with a stunning 40 points in extremely trying conditions. Ross Nesbit was a very worthy runner up on 39 points. In the ladies section Michelle Dillon hung in there to win with 34 points. Runner up was Jean Youl on 32.
In the non-golfers division Bryce Hall claimed the prize with Mark Reiffel runner up. Longest drive prizes were claimed by Shane Dibsdale and Toni Kilderry with Jean Youl landing the straightest drive.
There were an abundance of ball pool winners in this quality field – P Hall, K Sambrooks, J Tartaglia, S Dibsdale, M O’Reilly, G Thorne, G Wyte, G Teasdale, D O’ Donoghue, P Jones, B McKnight and L Hogg.
There were 5 super accurate golfers who claimed Nearest the pin prizes – Luke Hadfield (3rd), Dougie Meehan (5th), John Horn (9th), Bryce Hall (13th) and Andrew Spitty (16th).

Ladies Golf – Wednesday December 30th
A small field was treated to magnificent weather and a beautiful course in ladies golf this week. Shirley Jenner made the most of the conditions to win with 35 points. Deaniee Henderson was next best with 32 points. There was a battle for the prestigious pen award this week but visitor Laurel Dewhurst took it home. Shirley was also the winner of the Chino’s nearest the pin award.
