29th March results — Kerang Golf and Bowls

Kerang Golf Ladies 23/3/2022

We had a good roll up of 11 ladies, including Ruth McAlister from Lakeside. There were a few good scores, but most found it hard going. Angela Morton kept up her good play with 37 points and had a win for the day. Meryl Cameron was happy with her 36 points (which included a birdie on the 3rd), followed by Angela Giouzellis with 32 points. It was not Shirley’s day, but her new pen will help with her Secretary role.

Michelle had nearest the pin on the 9th and finished with 31 points despite several close tree encounters.

Next week is assembly at 9am for a 9:30 start so we hope to see more players with the milder weather.

Thursday R & R Stableford 24/03/2022

24 Players contested the Stableford event, with Don Ross coming in with winning score on a C/B from two others on 36 points. Ball Pool were Gary Pay & Ross Nesbit on 36 points, Chris Waterson on 34 points and Kevin Chase also on a C/B from 4 others on 33 points. NTP’s 3rd W O’Neill, 5th D Ross, 9th G Wyte, 13th B Gladman & 16th A Spitty

A fine day for golf over the weekend and Graham Wyte (12) who has been playing some good golf of late won the day with 39 points. Ladies winner was Mabel Spitty (27) on c/b from her sister Sadie (44) both had 35 pts. In the ball pool was Ron Schultze (25) 36, Sadie Spitty, Gavin Teasdale (12) 35, Blake Shay (10) 34. Nearest the pins were no one on the 3rd, Michelle Dillon 5th, Jenny Waterson 9th, Luke Hadfield 13th and Chris Waterson 16th.

MclardyMcshaneClark 4P Ambrose day drew a good crowd of players for the prizes on offer. The team of Chris & Jen Waterson, Corey Williams and Doug Meehan with a score of 62 – 6.7 = 55.3 to win on c/b from Luke Hadfield, Barry Gladman, Trent Hawkins and Michael O’Reilly 63 – 7.7 = 55.3 and 3rd place was Scott Worner, Peter Harley, Dean Alexander and David Doolan 65 – 7.1 = 57.9. Nearest the pins were Don Ross 3rd, Corey Williams 5th, Alan Free 9th, Dave Doolan 13th and Noel Robertson 16th.
