5th July results

Ladies Golf – Wednesday June 30th   

Twelve ladies took up the challenge of a stableford round this week. It was chilly but we did manage to beat the rain… just. 

We welcomed Bronwyn and Jo to the course to watch in awe as Michelle Baker showed us all how to do it… even after a long break she still has it! She carded a 36 pts to win the day with Joyce Boyd runner up on 34 pts. Lorraine Bray 32 pts and Jill Marshall claimed a ball with 31 pts.

Michelle Dillon played a beautiful shot to claim Chino’s Nearest the Pin on the 9th. She will probably enjoy that prize at Chino’s on her birthday tomorrow – pretty sure that would include chocolate of some sort!

Thursday Golf

Another good roll up of our R & R golfers plus a couple of younger ring-ins on a fine day and probably the youngest retired bloke there, Gary Pay (16), had one of his best days for a while and won with 39 points. Coming in in second place was Tony Laughlin (10) 37 pts. In the ball pool we had Chris Waterson (4) 36, Max Wilson (13), Michelle Dillon (8) and Phil Lloyd (11) all on 35 points. The best shots on the Par 3’s went to Joe Tartaglia on the 3rd, Chris Waterson 5th, Phil Lloyd 9th, Tony Laughlin 13th and no one landed on the 16th.

Saturday Golf

On a very cold day for golf only a small field turned up to play for the Monthly Medal but the stories in the club house afterwards were coming thick and fast about what could’ve and should’ve but wasn’t. Winner for the day, and the best storyteller of all, Phil Lloyd (11), with nett 69 and R/up was Joe Tartaglia (15) 72 nett. Geoff Williams (17) got the last ball in the ball pool on c/b from Chris Waterson (4) both on 75 nett. The best on the greens were Tony Laughlin on the 3rd, no one on the 5th, Phil Lloyd on the 9th and 16th and Alan Free on the 13th. Next week we have the Greenwood Mugge which is a coveted prize to win so hope to see you all there, don’t forget, please book in on bookatee.com and if you can also put in your golflink number.
