Thursday Golf

For a bit of difference we had a couple of Ladies play with the men today and one of them, Deaniee

Henderson (26), won the day with 43 points, well done to Deaniee. All the hard work she has been doing on her game is really starting to pay off. In second spot was another player who has been also practising a lot, is Joe Tartaglia (16) with 37. The ball pool was Gary Thorne (5) and Tony Laughlin (9) on 36 and Kevin Sambrooks (19) on 35. The nearest the pins went to Greg Gin on the 3 rd, no one got on the 5 th, ,Joe Targlia on the 9 th , Geoff Williams on 13th and Don Ross on the 16 th . 

Golf for Thursdays is open to all golfers and tee off is 12:45.

Saturday Golf

With the golf trip to Cobram/Barooga starting the following day, a few of those golfers played today to get some last minute practice. Lets hope that helps today’s winner Tony Laughlin (9) with 38 points and in second place was Gary Thorne (4) on 37. Those in the ball pool were Doug Ellwood (20) on 36, Chris Waterson (6), Scott Harry (13) both on 35 and Ron Schultze (24) on 33. The best stroke score for the day went to two players both with 74 and the pen was won by Rob Stevenson. Nearest the pins were Andrew Spitty on the 3 rd , 5 th Rob Stevenson, Tony Laughlin on the 9 th and also 13 th and Doug Ellwood got the ball on the 16 th . 

Ladies winner on 35 points was Jan Harry (13) from Olive Spitty (9) on 29. Remember everyone the time sheet is now in the club house so pop in or ring up after 5:00. Our pennant team travelled to Barham last Sunday to take on Lakeside and unfortunately they were to good on the day and beat us 2/1 so this week we travel to Balranald to play against Tooleybuc, so good luck to those playing. Thanks to Shirley Jenner who donated our year planner, Shirley and Michelle filled the dates for our tournaments and other events so keep your eyes on this so you know when tournaments are coming up.

Ladies Report

Jan Harry (13) –1 was the best of the 12 ladies that tackled the wind & the lovely game of par. Michelle Dillon (8) –2 was r/up with Mandy Ackland (25) –3 & Joyce Boyd (21) -4 taking out the minor prizes, Ruth McAlister was NTP Chino’s 9th & Jan Harry NTP June’s 3rd & had a nice birdie, Nola Robinson was holding up the ladder & collected the pen, next week hit off at 9am see you there.
