1st December results
/Ladies Golf – Wednesday November 25th
The Wednesday lady golfers were treated to a magnificent sunny day on our beautiful course. Jean Youl made the most of the perfect conditions to shoot a consistent round of 36 points. Deanne Free was the runner up with 35 points, including a magnificent shot which landed well behind where she had started! Jan Harry and Shirley Jenner were in the ball pool with 34 and 33 points. Carol Dear won the Chino’s voucher with a great nearest the pin on the 9th.
Next week is your last chance to win a hot pink shirt when we play for the monthly medal. The forecast is for a cooler day so come along at 9 for a 9.30 start.
Thursday R & R Stableford
With the lifting of a lot of restrictions Geoff Williams (17) made a welcome return to golf and had a good win with 39 pts. Second place went to Joe Tartaglia (16) on 38 and Andrew Spitty (+2) had another sub-par round with 68 off the stick for 37 pts. The others in the ball pool were Gary Thorne (5) and Frank Ritchie (19) both on 36. Nearest the pins went to Andrew Spitty on the 3rd, Doug Meehan 5th, Joe Tartaglia 9th, Andrew Spitty 13th and Geoff Williams on the 16th.
Saturday Golf
On what was supposed to be a stinking hot day most golfers teed off early in the morning. But 7 brave fools teed off in the afternoon. It didn’t quite get as hot as predicted but the down pour at 2:30 pm was very welcome. The winner this day was Shane Dibsdale (12) one of the afternoon golfers with 36 pts. In the Ladies the Captain Michelle Dillon (8) with 35 pts. In the ball pool was Gary Thorne
(5) 35, Casey Gillen (21), Ron Schultze (23) and Tony Laughlin (10) all on 34 points. The best on the par 3’s were Terry Turvey on the 3rd, Doug Meehan 5th,
Ron Schultze 9th, Michelle Dillon got the money on the 13th and Col Wilkie was best on the 16th.
Our Gold Watch 4 Ball Tournament has been postponed until February due to course works.
