/Ladies Golf – Wednesday December 2nd
Thank goodness the wind died down a bit for this week’s round of golf, allowing the 10 ladies every opportunity to win the monthly medal shirt. Jean Youl was the star of the show, scoring an impressive 92 (24) 68 to win the day. She also took out the putting prize with a very accurate 25.
Runner up was an ever-improving Nola Robinson with 102 (31) 71. Ball pool recipients were Chrissy Downs and Shirley Jenner, both with net 76. Michelle Dillon played a splendid shot onto the 9th green to win the Chino’s voucher.
Forecast for next week is looking great, so see you next week at 9 for a 9.30 start.
Thursday R & R Stroke 3rd December
When 22 golfers set off on a wonderful bright sunny day, with no wind, they were about to start their game with a twist! The back nine holes were unplayable due to maintenance works. This meant that the front nine would have to be played twice. Most were able to cope with this on their score cards.
Mark Henderson was the man to beat with a round of 97-34=63. Ball Pool was
D Ellwood 87-22=65, Frank Ritchie 84-19=65, Don Ross 75-9=66.
NTP’s were Bob McKnight 3rd, Poddy Free 5th and Don Ross on the 9th. The Pen Award went to Geoff Williams.
Saturday 5th December Monthly Medal Stroke
Conditions were not at their best for the golfers, what with greens recently renovated and cold blustery weather and light showers. Just 17 ventured out, and it was a happy return to the Kerang course for James Meehan, who showed his delight being back by scoring 76-10-66, to take out the Monthly Medal. The Ball Pool was Peter hall 87-15=72, Ron Schultze 97-24=73, Tony Laughlin 83-10=73. The winner of the Pen Award was Geoff Williams again.
NTP’s went to Ross Nesbit on the 3rd & 9th, while James Meehan picked up the 13th Superpin.
Twilight Golf has commenced on Tuesday afternoons, so come out and enjoy the course.
