20th November Results
/Thursday Golf
On a fine and, as normal windy, November day 23 R & R golfers including a couple of
younger fellows graced our greens for a great day of golf. In a very even day of golf .
1 point separated the first 6 players. After all count backs were done Graham Wyte (14) was declared the winner on 36 pts with the other 3 players on 36 making up the ball pool, those being Greg Gin (16), Gary Thorne (7) and Allan Free (17).
Twilight Golf
Twilight golf for all comers on a Tuesday night began last week with 21 players turning up.
Twilight is for anyone who wants to have a hit you don’t need a handicap to play and it is a good
introduction to golf and the Golf Club, for those people thinking of taking up the game. The winners in the golfers section were Curly Doyle with a net 33.5, Logan Keighran 34.5, Chris Gray 37.5 and Allan Free 38.5.
In the non golfers section winners were Jesse Tilburn net 37 on a count back from Brian Murphy also
on 37 and Jordan Simpson 38 net. Nearest the pin on 13 was John Murphy, longest drive to Brad
Short and nearest the line Jesse Tilburn.
Saturday Golf
On one of our best days for golf in a long time we had a nice field of over 40 golfers hit the
course. One of our irregular golfers Luke Hadfield (16) had a great round of 41 pts to win the
Greenwood Mugge for the next few weeks. In the ball pool we had Graham Wyte(14) 40, Chris Gray
(17) 39, Mark Henderson (34) Meryl Cameron (15), Gray Thorne (7) all on 38 pts, Red Manners (9)
Gary Pay (17) on 37.
Our Ladies winner was, after probably her best round of golf, Deaniee Henderson (28) on 41 pts.
On Sunday we have our Lachie 4BBB with a BBQ from 11.30am and 12:30 hit off.
This day is in remembrance of Ian Laughlin, who was probably the finest golfer this district has produced.
McLardyMcShaneClark 4person Ambrose is on December 8 th and as ambroses are always popular get your names in early for this day.
Ladies Golf
We had 8 ladies play par on a warmish day, Michelle Dillon finished square in front of Lorraine Bray on 1 down. Meryl Cameron & Mandy Ackland were both 2 down, NTP Chino’s was Joyce Boyd with her shot of the day & NTP June’s 3rd was Meryl Cameron. The much sort after pen award, was won by Jill Marshall. Next week is a 9am hit off .
It’s also the start of our 3 putt club, so you might need to bring an extra $1.
the course is looking great so well done to everyone involved in the preparation of the course.
