26th April Results
/Ladies Wednesday 21 April
The winner to emerge from the pack on Wednesday, was none other than the Lady captain (8) herself, scoring 33 points. On a count back from Joyce Boyd (24). The ball pool went to Rhonda Willoughby (24) on 29 points. NTP Chino’s Joyce Boyd. Next Week hit off at 9.30am. Congratulations to Jan harry for her win over at Horsham at the Autumn tournament.
Thursday Golf
Allan Free (20) kept his good form running with another win, again with 39 points. Those in the ball pool were Spud McKerrow (27) who must be happy with this result as he started off with a double and triple bogie in he’s first two holes and ended up with 38 pts, Jean Youl (23) on 36, Col Wilkie (12) and Joe Tartaglia (15) got the last two balls in the ball pool. Nearest the pins were Kevin Sambrooks on the 3rd, Michelle Dillon 5th, Chris Waterson 9th, Geoff Williams 13th and Doug Meehan got the 16th. After a couple of recent wins Doug Ellwood took home the pen award and Chris Waterson got the best stroke score of the day with 77.
Saturday Golf
In coolish but good weather Ross Nesbit (12) enjoyed the day the most by winning with 39 points. R/up was Peter Jones (16) with 37 pts. Ladies winner was the ever consistent Ladies captain Michelle Dillon (8) on 35pts with R/up (again with a couple of recent wins) Mabel Spitty (45) on 30 pts. The ball pool was Peter Jones, Luke Hadfield (15) and Andrew Spitty (+3) both on 36 pts. Nearest the pins were Meryl Cameron on the 3rd, Col Wilkie 5th, Andrew Spitty on the 9th and 13th and Joe Tartaglia on the 16th. A visitor Peter Taylor won the pen and Andrew Spitty had the best stroke score with 68 after starting the day with an eagle on the 1st and if not for he’s bogie on the 3rd and maybe a bit more luck on the greens could have set a course record again which I believe is not far away given he’s form of late.
Anzac Day
Our annual Anzac Day stableford again was an enjoyable day with a visitor who used to be a local Dale Robertson (20) winning with 40 points, Red Manners (6) was R/up with 39 pts. Ladies winner was Michelle Dillon (8) on 34 on a countback from Joyce Boyd (24).
