Twilight Golf
A small but happy band of golfers tackled the wind again for nine holes of golf on Tuesday night. The best of the non golfers was M.Ferguson and the runner up was Andrew Lindsay. For the golfers it was Joel Gray with a 31 nett score 2 nd was Scott Harry 35 nett and Hayden Hall 3 rd 35.5 nett. Nearest the pins were Ned Pay on the 3 rd , Andrew Lindsay on the 9 th and the superpin 5 th went to M Ferguson. Scott Worner got the longest drive on the 8 th Deaniee Henderson won nearest the line and Mark Henderson got the prize for nearest the tyre 2 nd shot.
Thursday Golf
Our R & R golfers enjoyed a great day of golf and the winner was one of our newest golfers in Geoff Guy (28) with 35 points. The nearest the pin winners were Gary Thorne on the 3 rd, Ian Urquhart from Drouin on the 5 th, Phil Lloyd the 9 th, Geoff Williams on the 13 th and no one managed to get on the 16 th . In the ball pool was Gray Thorne (7), Graham Wyte (12) and Rob Fabry (22) all on 34 points. One point of interest from the day is that Doug Ellwood had a day he’d rather forget after only scoring 18 points but knowing Doug there was probably a good excuse for his bad day.
Saturday Golf
A great day on the greens for Andrew Spitty (1) today as he equalled the course record of 67 held by himself and Ben Tatt from Bel Voir Park GC. Andrew had 8 pars and a birdie on the front then on the back started with a birdie then 3 pars a birdie, bogie, birdie, par, birdie for a great round off 67 off the stick and 41 points to win the day. Gary Thorne (7) who was playing with him was 2 nd on 40 and in the ball pool we had Doug Ellwood (22) who recovered from his Thursday debacle with 38, Blake Shay (15), Ron Schultze (27) and Scott Harry (16) both on 37. The ladies winner was Jan Harry (14) who’s been down on form lately with 38 pts to win by 2 from Olive Spitty (9). Nearest the pins were on the 3 rd Chris Gray, Andrew Spitty on the 5 th and 16 th, 9 th Don Ross and Ron Schultze got the superpin on the 13 th and the popular pen was won by Jean Youl. Our last round of Premier League was Saturday and the winners were Captains dft Thorne Birds, Hogand Heroes dft Birdies and Beers and Whips Boy dft Hall Hackers to stay off the bottom of the ladder. Finals next week are Hogans Heroes v Thorn Birds and The Captains v Birdies and Beers.
Autopro Australia Day Ambrose
Over 70 players turned up for Lefties day on a glorious Sunday afternoon. The eventual winners were Lefties girls Katelyn and Courtney and there boyfriends Beau Bennett and Joel Robertson with a score of 70 – 14.3 = 55.8 nett. Second place and best stroke score of the day was Scott and Jan Harry and Chris and Jenny Waterson with 64 – 7.6 = 56.4. Nearest the pins were 3 rd N.Walle, 5 th Diane Waller, 9 th Roger Pay, 13 th Lyle Bott and the 16 th was Doug Ellwood.
News
A couple of weeks ago Greg Gin and Joe Tartaglia played against Ron Schultze and Geoff Williams for the Ian Westland 4ball Trophy. It was close all day with nothing in it, but Greg and Joe, who have played a lot of golf together and know each others game well, held their nerve better to win one up so well done to those two.
With the closing of Kerang Sports and Toys the time sheet will be in the bar of the clubhouse for a while so just pop in buy a drink and put your names down.

Ladies Golf
On a beautiful sunny morning, 8 ladies took the challenge on, to try & beat the golf course, Jenny Waterson (22) 36 points winner of the day & Marg Learmonth (21) 36 did the best of the ladies, Jan Harry (14) 35 & Joyce Boyd (22) 35, NTP Chino’s 9th Marg Learmonth & June’s 3rd Jan Harry, starting time next week for Feb monthly medal 9am hit off, the course is looking good well done to all involved cheers.
